Frazer Pearce has partnered Adrian Healy throughout the past decade.
In addition to many joint trips he has also spent time surfing in Ireland
and open boating in one of Canada's great parks. Along with appearing in
the `White Water Nepal' video, Frazer has also been featured in promotional
videos for both Prijon and Eskimo and helped to make the video diary for
the 1997 Tyne Tour, the largest paddling festival in the UK. He also
runs one of the most acclaimed (and visited) kayaking internet sites; http://star-www.dur.ac.uk/~frazerp/kayak/
, has spoken to the London River Rats and is a recognised contributor to
the international paddling newsgroup rec.boats.paddle. In his spare time
Frazer is a research astrophysicist working at Durham University.

Adrian Healy, 32, London
Adrian Healy has paddled many of the world's major rivers, including
the Bio Bio (Chile); Zambezi (Zimbabwe/Zambia) and the Sun Kosi (Nepal).
With more than 10 years experience of white water kayaking Adrian has paddled
Grade IV/V rivers in South America, Central America, North America, Africa,
Europe, Australasia and South East Asia. Many of these trips have
been sponsored by a range of major companies and Adrian has featured in
promotional videos for Prijon and Eskimo as well as appearing in posters
and magazine adverts for Eskimo products. Allegedly he also appears
in the opening credits of the Sky Sports Channel in South Africa!
In his spare time Adrian is a Senior Consultant for a European Research

Clive Williamson, 31, Cambridge
Clive Williamson was a member of a 6 man trip to Norway in 1992 which
also included Frazer and Adrian. Rather than training to go to Nepal the
following year he chose to buy a landrover and drive overland to the Cape
of Good Hope. Along the way he visited Victoria Falls and never came back.
After a season as a safety boater he worked his way up to become the rafting
operations manager for Sobek Expeditions and then Raft Quest. He has also
worked as a video boater and has advanced first aid qualifications leading
to appointments as the Zambezi safety officer and river safety officer
for the Camel Challenge in both 1996 and 1997. Two major trips to the eastern
highlands of Zimbabwe provided wilderness multiday experience before spending
six months living and working in New Zealand before finally returning to
the UK in 1999, four years after leaving.

Jim has been an active paddler for 33 years which is some going given
his 32 years of age. This feat he owes to his parents being active
paddlers whilst he was still in the womb! Earlier this year Jim completed
one of his major goals in life, to paddle on all six continents (not too
bothered about Antarctica). His main claim to fame is being one of
the first 200 kayakers to have run the Batoka Gorge on the Zambezi, and
has a first decent claim as being the first to run the Zambezi by raft
at night - it was deliberate and there was no beer involved. He is
a BCU Level 4 Coach (Inland Kayak) which is sure to prove the source of
several jibes on this coming trip! Jim is sponsored for these paddling
trips by a very understanding large telecommunications firm who do, unfortunately,
expect an appearance or two in the office for this.

Will Forester, 23, Abbots Bromley
Huge farmer who first went kayaking abroad when only 17, joining a trip
to Norway with Clive Williamson. Massively strong he continued to improve
and went to Idaho to help make the Eskimo diablo promotional video (together
with Adrian Healy). Since then he has spent time in Africa and made two
trips to California to round off an impressive CV. Founder and now only
member of the ellusive Abbots Bromley Canoe Club.

Martin "Mighty White" Wightman completes the ex-Newcastle contingent
on this trip. As the lead paddler on the 1996 BCU expedition to Alaska
he has extensive wilderness experience, supplemented by his addiction to
mountaineering and other winter sports. Working as a physics teacher in
a Scottish public school has allowed him to spend time exploring local
Scottish ditches and develop his leadership abilities further.
