Andy Evans first visited the alps in 1994. Despite his age he has gained lots of experience and has already completed trips to Norway, Corsica, Alaska, California and Turkey. As he is presently working on a Ph.D. at Nottingham University he is frequently to be seen falling in at Holme Pierrepont and is a keen canoe polo player. Making the most of his time as a student he spent five weeks paddling around the alps in 1998 before joining the early season expedition to Turkey in 1999 and another to New Zealand in 2000.
