About 30 people made the journey up to the
Simpson residence for August Bank Hols. The usual Lakeland
weather greeted us so it was a perfect weekend to be in the
water. Mat had done an amazing job of organising food and
endless tea and it seemed at times as if the entire village
of Howtown is populated by Simpsons.
We sailed on Satuarday and then Sunday raced to an island
on Ullswater so far away that people were fast dropping to
hyperthermia. Mat had also rooted out an old bike and equipped
it with a bouyancy aid for general pier jumping amusement
(see photos) All in all a grand wekend out. And looking forward
to next year's regatta so put it in your diaries now! |
